How long is a treatment consultation?
Treatment time varies from Osteopath to Osteopath. The majority of Osteopaths in the UK will take 30-45 minutes for the first treatment, and 20-30 minutes for follow-up treatments.
This is very variable, and depends entirely on the problem you present with. Some pains are caused by a very simple short term problem that resolves very quickly in as little as 1 or 2 treatments. Others may take up to 5 or 6 treatments. Others may even require ongoing treatment for life. It really depends on how long you’ve taken to get to us, and how long you’ve left it before getting help! We cannot unwind 20 years of built up tension in half an hour! Let's be reasonable now people, we are good, but not THAT good!
